Niamh Uí Thuama

Niamh has a vast amount of performing experience and holds a Diploma of Associate in Drama (ALCM), Musical Theatre (AIBSD), and continuously furthers her qualifications with the Irish Boards. Niamh has also achieved a diploma in acting with Actors Vision and trains regularly by attending lectures with Spotlight, weekly acting lessons, and acting masterclasses held by Gerry Grennell (Dialect coach), Louise Kiely (Irish casting director), and Clair Sinnett (LA Casting Director).

Theatre credits include: Playing the part of Banquo, Macbeth, Katherine, Taming of the Shrew (Cork Arts Theatre), Cinna and Messala, Julius Caesar (The Granary Theatre), Suzie, Road to Damascus (Cork Arts Theatre) Emma, Frabjous Day (Cork Arts Theatre), Maeve Sullivan, Blue Stockings (Firkin Crane Theatre), Groupie, Death of Rock’n’roll (DeepRed Productions), Chorus, Cavalleria Rusticana Concert (Cork Opera House), Chorus, La Bohéme Concert (Cork Opera House).

Having worked as an assistant drama tutor for three years, Niamh has now undertaken classes of her own for many years. She has prepared students for performances at Cork Opera House, Firkin Crane Theatre and Father Matthew Hall.

Niamh believes ‘As a tutor, there is no greater satisfaction than to see a child’s confidence grow and to know that you have helped them to achieve their goals’.
