Jimmy Brockie

Musical Director, Jimmy Brockie is an Actor/Musician, originally from Ardmore Co.Waterford. He graduated with a First Class honours from Cork School Of Music (CIT) with a Bachelor in Music, while also majoring in Voice and is currently undergoing a Masters in Orchestration and Conducting. This year Jimmy was awarded the Alan Cutts Memorial award for conducting by the Cork School of Music and is highly regarded by many as the up-and-coming Musical Director of his generation.

Musical Directing credits include: Guys and Dolls (Dungarvan Playhouse), Bonnie and Clyde (UCC Musical Society), Lee Side Story (Cork Opera House), Dockers (Marion Wyatt, Fr Matiu Hall/Unitarian Church), UCC Rocks (UCC Quad), Godspell (CIT Musical Society), AIMS Nomination Gilbert Section for “Best Musical Director”.

Acting credits include; Playing the role of “Buttons” in CinderellaEric the Woodcutter in Red Riding Hood and Jack in Jack and The Beanstalk (The Everyman Palace), playing the role of Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls(Dungarvan Playhouse), the role of Jean Valjean in Les Miserable (Southeastern Theatre Group 2015 and CADA 2016), Resident actor-musician for Jabberwocky productions with Johnny Hanrahan. He has also worked as a pit performer in several shows such as Jesus Christ SuperstarThe Beautiful GameRent and Legally Blonde

At present is he very excited to be working as a vocalist alongside World-renowned West End star Killian Donnelly on the album “Inside West Side” under the direction of David Hayes & Nicky Bailey.
